Description
Carbodiam diamond blades cover the full sawing programme of the Belgian manufacturer: blades for angle grinders and cut-off saws, floor saws, wall saws and table saws, together with specialist blades for hollow-core slabs, refractory materials, grooving and joint work. They are made for reinforced and heavily reinforced concrete, fresh concrete, asphalt, masonry, paving, natural stone, tiles and porcelain stoneware.
The range is organised by the machine first and the material second. Hand-held blades run from compact grinder sizes up to 400 mm for cut-off saws. Floor saw blades are graded by the engine power of the saw. Wall saw blades are graded by the power of the wall saw drive and run up to 2200 mm in diameter. Table saw blades include versatile, intensive-use, silent and tile-cutting specifications.
Within each family, the segment height, bond and diamond concentration are tuned to the material: blades for hard, low-abrasive concrete and stone cut differently from blades for asphalt, fresh concrete or highly abrasive blocks. Carbodiam also develops blades to customer requirements and supports specification on site.
Key Features and Benefits
Specified by machine power
Floor saw blades for reinforced concrete come in three diamond specifications, from saws of 30 HP up to machines over 75 HP. Wall saw blades are divided into series for machines up to 15 kW, from 15 to 22 kW and above 22 kW. Matching the specification to the machine keeps the blade cutting freely instead of glazing or wearing prematurely.
Steel core protection
Carbodiam’s floor saw blades for old concrete use 13 mm laser-welded segments with protecting segments that shield the steel core from undercutting wear. Perfo Abra asphalt blades combine a stellite-protected steel core with a very hard bond and a high diamond concentration.
Segment designs for the material
The range includes laser-welded segments, forged segments and continuous-rim blades. Heavy-duty hand-held blades with 17 mm segments are made for concrete, block and reinforced concrete; continuous-rim blades give clean, chip-free cuts in tiles and ceramics; trapezoidal segments reduce vibration in asphalt.
Pre-stressed blades for hollow-core slabs
The pre-stressed blade for hollow-core slabs carries laser-welded 19 mm segments with diamond over their full height. A quick-start shape and self-sharpening technology are designed to keep cutting speed consistent through the life of the segment in heavily reinforced precast concrete.
Blades for fresh concrete and joints
Thin floor saw blades cut expansion and control joints in fresh concrete and industrial floors, with specifications for very hard floors with large flint aggregates, standard aggregates, and abrasive materials. Grooving cutters cut joints and grooves in floors, crack chasers open joints and cracks for resin filling and repair, and joint-cleaning blades clear an 8 mm joint in a single pass.
Reduced-noise options
Silent steel cores are available on selected table saw blades, including a dedicated silent blade for Carbodiam’s AMPHIBIA dry and wet table saw concept.
Applications and Use Cases
Carbodiam diamond blades are used for:
- Structural openings: wall sawing wall openings and floor hatches in reinforced and heavily reinforced concrete.
- Floor and road sawing: cutting slabs, old concrete, asphalt and asphalt over concrete, and cutting joints in fresh concrete and industrial floors.
- Precast production: cutting hollow-core slabs and precast concrete products.
- General site cutting: hand-held cutting of concrete, brick, blocks, interlocking pavers and reinforced concrete.
- Masonry and paving: table sawing bricks, concrete blocks, pavers and concrete products.
- Tiles and stone: clean cutting of tiles, porcelain stoneware, marble, granite and other natural stone.
- Repair and finishing: grooving, wall chasing, crack chasing and joint cleaning.
- Industrial materials: cutting refractory materials, and steel and cast iron with a dedicated metal-cutting blade.
Each blade is designed for a defined set of materials and machines; a blade for asphalt is not a substitute for a blade for hard reinforced concrete.

The pre-stressed blade for hollow-core slabs is supplied in three diamond specifications: P11 for 50 HP machines, P12 for 50–75 HP and P13 for machines above 75 HP. Refractory blades are specified by refractory family, covering electrofused, siliceous and silico-aluminous, highly abrasive and basic refractory products.
When selecting a Carbodiam blade, consider:
- the machine type, its power and the blade diameter and bore it takes
- the material, including reinforcement, abrasiveness and aggregate hardness
- wet or dry cutting
- the cutting depth required
- whether cutting speed or blade life matters more on the job

Buy Diamond Blades from Global Source Middle East
A diamond blade only performs when its bond, segment and diameter suit both the material and the saw. Carbodiam’s structure by machine class and power rating makes that match explicit, from 115 mm grinder blades to 2200 mm wall saw blades.
Global Source Middle East supplies Carbodiam diamond blades to concrete cutting contractors, road and infrastructure teams, precast producers and masonry and tiling trades in the UAE. Send us the saw, its power, the blade diameter and bore, and the material to be cut, and we will quote the blade specification that fits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Carbodiam blade should I use on a wall saw?
Choose the series by the power of the wall saw: VZC for machines up to 15 kW, VYC or VAEQ for 15 to 22 kW, and VXC for machines above 22 kW. Then select the diameter for the cutting depth needed.
How are floor saw blades specified?
By material and engine power. For reinforced concrete, BZ9 suits saws from 30 HP, BZ12 saws of 50–75 HP and BZ14 saws over 75 HP. BX is for very hard concrete and asphalt on concrete, AG for asphalt and BVE for light machinery.
Does Carbodiam make blades for cutting fresh concrete?
Yes. PRO BF1, PRO BF2, PRO BF+ and BIC are floor saw blades for joints in fresh concrete and industrial floors, each specified for a different aggregate or abrasiveness.
Is there a blade for cutting hollow-core slabs?
Yes. The SSP pre-stressed blade is made for cutting hollow-core slabs in heavily reinforced concrete, in diameters from 500 to 1300 mm, with the diamond specification matched to the saw’s engine power.
Can tile and stone blades cut dry?
Some can. Ultra Ceram blades and selected table blades for porcelain stoneware and natural stone allow dry cutting. Check the specification of each blade before cutting dry.
