Description
The Weldy booster EX3 is a handheld extrusion welder for PE and PP. Welding rod is fed into an air-heated barrel extruder, melted, and deposited through a welding shoe to form the weld.
The EX3 is the longer, higher-output member of the booster family, built for the welding volumes of civil engineering, agriculture and construction. It handles membrane welding, tank and container fabrication, and repair work on boats and aquaculture structures. Changeable welding shoes adapt the extruder to the seam, and a locking key allows continuous welding without holding the trigger.

Output for larger welds
Material output reaches 2.5 kg/h with ø 3 mm rod and 3.6 kg/h with ø 4 mm rod, measured with PE. A higher deposition rate shortens weld times on long seams and larger cross-sections. Actual output varies with material and working conditions.
Welding shoes for each seam
The booster EX3 is supplied with a 30/1.5 welding shoe for overlap seams. A range of sixteen interchangeable welding shoes adapts it to other seam geometries.
Built for continuous work
A locking key keeps the extruder running for continuous welds, and the rotary handle lets the operator hold a comfortable position along the seam.
Straightforward process control
An internal air guide and air-heated screw with open-loop air temperature control keep the process simple to set up and maintain.
