This Privacy Policy explains how Global Source Middle East General Trading L.L.C. (“Global Source Middle East”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit our website at www.gsmegt.com (the “Website”) or contact us through it.
Global Source Middle East is a UAE-based supplier of construction and industrial products. The Website is our corporate website and product catalogue. It does not offer online checkout or payments.
1. Who we are
Global Source Middle East is a limited liability company licensed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), operating under the public brand name Global Source Middle East.

2. The information we collect
We collect only the information we need for the purposes described in this Policy.
Information you give us
When you use our Contact form, our Request Quote form, email us or message us on WhatsApp, you may provide:
- your name and job title
- your company name
- your email address and telephone or WhatsApp number
- the content of your enquiry or quotation request, such as the products, quantities, specifications or project details you are interested in
- any other information you choose to include in your message
Please do not send sensitive personal information, such as health or identity document details, through the Website or in an enquiry. We do not need it to respond to product enquiries.
Information collected when you use the Website
When you browse the Website, some information is collected automatically through our hosting, security and analytics services. This may include:
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it
- your browser, device and operating system
- the pages you visit, the time and duration of your visit and the website that referred you
- technical information needed to keep the Website secure and working

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make decisions about you by automated means alone.
4. Contact form, Request Quote form, email and WhatsApp
Contact form and Request Quote form. The Website provides two separate forms: a general Contact form and a Request Quote form for product quotation requests. When you submit either form:
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the submission comes from a person rather than an automated program (see section 7).
- Your submission is processed by a Cloudflare serverless function and stored in Cloudflare D1, a database service, so that our sales team can retrieve, track and follow up on your enquiry or quotation request.
- Brevo, an email delivery service, sends Global Source Middle East’s sales team a notification of your submission and sends you an acknowledgement confirming we have received it.
Email and WhatsApp. If you contact us by email or WhatsApp, your message and contact details are held in our email accounts or our WhatsApp Business account. WhatsApp is provided by Meta, and your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
We use the information you send to respond to you and, if you become a customer, to manage our business relationship.
5. Analytics
We use two analytics services to understand how visitors use the Website:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics gives us aggregate statistics about page visits. It is designed to work without placing cookies on your device.
- Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors find and use the Website. It uses cookies and collects usage information, which is processed by Google.
We use analytics information in aggregate form to improve the Website. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Google Analytics runs only if you accept analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the Website.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We group the cookies and similar technologies used on the Website as follows:

7. Google Maps and Cloudflare Turnstile
Google Maps. We use an embedded Google Map to show our location. When the map loads, Google may receive information such as your IP address and set cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that Contact form and Request Quote form submissions come from people rather than automated programs. Turnstile analyses technical signals from your browser and device to do this. It is used to protect our forms, not for advertising.
8. Service providers
We use trusted service providers to operate the Website and communicate with you. They process personal information on our behalf or provide services we rely on:

9. Marketing communications
We send promotional emails and WhatsApp messages about our products only if you have agreed to receive them. Agreeing to marketing is optional and is never a condition of making an enquiry.
You can withdraw your consent at any time:
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email, or email us at info@gsmegt.com.
- WhatsApp: reply to tell us you no longer wish to receive promotional messages, or contact us at info@gsmegt.com.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect messages already sent, and we will still contact you about any enquiry, quotation or order you have with us.
10. Sharing your information
We share personal information only where needed for the purposes in this Policy:
- with the service providers listed above
- with professional advisers, such as lawyers and auditors, where necessary
- with government, regulatory or judicial authorities where required by law
- with a buyer or successor if our business, or part of it, is reorganised or transferred
We do not routinely share your enquiry details with the manufacturers whose products we supply, or with other companies. If we need to share specific details with a manufacturer to answer a technical question or prepare a quotation, we will do so only as needed for your request.
11. International processing
Some of our service providers, including Google, Cloudflare, Brevo and Meta, process information on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates. This means your personal information may be transferred to and processed in other countries.
Where personal information is transferred outside the UAE, we rely on the grounds permitted by UAE data protection law. These include transfers needed to respond to your request or perform a contract with you, contractual protections with our service providers, and your consent where required.
12. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed:
- Enquiries that do not lead to business are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and are then deleted or anonymised.
- Customer and transaction records are kept for the duration of our business relationship and for as long afterwards as required by UAE commercial, tax and other legal record-keeping obligations.
- Marketing contact details are kept until you withdraw your consent, after which we keep only the record needed to respect your choice.
- Analytics information is kept for the period set in our analytics service settings and is used in aggregate form.
We may keep information for longer where it is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
13. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure, and we expect our service providers to do the same. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending confidential information through the contact form or by email.
14. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in UAE law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data where it applies, you may have the right to:
- Be informed about the personal information we process about you, why we process it, who we share it with and how long we keep it.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Request erasure of personal information that is no longer needed, or that is processed on the basis of consent you have withdrawn.
- Restrict processing while the accuracy of your information is checked, or where you object to how it is used.
- Object to processing for direct marketing at any time.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent.
- Receive personal information you provided to us in a structured, machine-readable format, and ask us to transfer it to another organisation where technically feasible.
- Object to decisions made solely by automated processing that affect you.
To make a request, contact us at info@gsmegt.com. We may need to confirm your identity before responding. We respond to requests free of charge, but we may decline requests that are clearly unfounded, excessively repetitive or that would affect the rights of others, as permitted by law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the competent data protection authority in the UAE.
15. Children
The Website is intended for business and professional users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Website, our services or the law. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Where a change significantly affects how we use your personal information, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
