Description
The Weldy miniwelder tex2 is a lightweight automatic hot wedge welder for thin membranes and technical textiles. A 20 mm heated wedge melts the surfaces of the overlapping material, and a silicone roller presses the layers together as the machine drives along the seam. The result is a uniform overlap weld along the full length of the run.
Its optimised wedge geometry is designed for material from 0.1 to 1 mm thick, and an intuitive control system makes welding start-up easy. This makes the miniwelder tex2 well suited to tarpaulin fabrication, banner and signage production, and the manufacture of awnings, shades and protective covers.
Key Features and Benefits
Wedge geometry for thin material
Thin membranes are easy to overheat or distort. The miniwelder tex2 wedge is shaped for 0.1–1 mm material, so it covers the tarpaulin, banner and cover fabrics that heavier roofing and geomembrane welders are not designed for.
Chain-free drive and simple start-up
The drive system works without a chain, and the controls make starting a weld straightforward. Fewer moving parts and a simple start help operators produce consistent seams with minimal setup.
Light and portable
At 3.6 kg and 228 × 228 × 170 mm, the machine is easy to carry to the work and position on the material.
Wedge options for the material
The miniwelder tex2 is offered with a 20 mm stainless steel wedge or a 20 mm copper wedge. The stainless steel version covers PE, PP, PVC, TPO and TPU. The copper version covers PE, PP, TPO and TPU. Speed is adjustable from 0.4 to 7.5 m/min and temperature from 60 to 480 °C.
Applications and Use Cases
Applications for the miniwelder tex2 include:
- Tent tarpaulin welding: joining tarpaulin panels and seams.
- Advertising banner welding: overlap welds for printed banners and signage material.
- Awning and wind blocker welding: shading and screening textiles.
- Protective cover welding: covers for equipment and materials.
- Plastic fabric hoses welding: fabric hose seams.
- Pool waterproofing: thin pool liner membranes.

Buy Miniwelder tex2 from Global Source Middle East
For tarpaulin fabricators, signage producers, and makers of awnings, shades and protective covers, consistent seams on thin material are the core of the job. The miniwelder tex2 automates the overlap weld on material from 0.1 to 1 mm, running long seams at a controlled speed and temperature instead of welding them by hand.
The wedge version is the main selection point. Choose the stainless steel wedge if your work includes PVC. Global Source Middle East supplies the miniwelder tex2 to fabricators and workshops in the UAE.
Frequently Asked Questions
