Description
The Väli VPWS 500 is an automatic butt fusion machine for thermoplastic pipe from 200 mm to 500 mm. It extends the VPWS 450 range by one size step and adds a larger heating plate, 6.5 kW against 5.38 kW.
It uses a 380 V three-phase supply, an electrohydraulic control unit, a removable electric facing tool and an electronic countdown timer.

Nine pipe sizes
Sizes run from 200 mm to 500 mm, for HDPE, PE, PP and PVDF pipe.
6.5 kW heating plate
The PTFE-coated plate has electronic temperature control, a 270°C maximum and a deviation of less than ±7°C.
0–8 MPa hydraulic range
The electrohydraulic unit allows pressure to be set across 0 to 8 MPa.
Facing tool and timer
The removable electric facing tool prepares the pipe ends, and the electronic countdown timer manages heating and cooling times.

Pipe welding ranges are nominal pipe diameters in mm, and Planning Tool Power is the power of the facing tool. The pressure range is the hydraulic unit setting and 270 °C is the heating plate maximum; fusion pressure and welding temperature follow the welding procedure for the pipe material, diameter and wall thickness.
