Description
The Heller Duster Expert SDS-plus is an extraction drill bit: a hollow hammer drill bit that draws drilling dust away at the point where it is created. Connected to an industrial vacuum, it combines drilling and dust extraction in a single step for concrete work.
Because the dust is routed internally through large openings at the tip, drilling resistance is reduced and the surroundings stay cleaner. That makes the bit a natural fit for interior work, and for setting chemical anchors, where the hole has to be properly prepared before the anchor is installed.
The bit has an SDS-plus shank and runs in the hammer drilling mode of an SDS-plus rotary hammer. Heller specifies M-class industrial vacuums with a volume flow of at least 40 l/s. An adapter connects the bit to the vacuum.
This is the SDS-plus version of the Duster Expert, offered from 6 to 24 mm. The Duster Expert SDS-max is a separate product for SDS-max machines and larger diameters.
